It’s been a long wait but finally I’m getting around to catching up on blogging some of my summer weddings. This stylish day was such a special one for me because two of Nicki’s bridesmaids were also my brides so it was lovely for me to catch up with them again.
Nicki and Kieran really had planned their day around their families, many of whom travelled from England and beyond to the stunning Tankardstown House near Slane, County Meath. Kieran’s grandfather was originally from Crossmaglen so it was a bit of a homecoming of sorts and with my dad being from Newry, I think I got the seal of approval from the Hearty’s!
I knew Nicki was going to be a beautiful bride but she exceeded all of my expectations with the elegant Laure de Sagazan gown she had chosen from The White Gallery Boutique in Newry. The stylish choices continued throughout the day with a special mention to Tim at Floral Earth for the amazing flowers and garlands!
The day began in Collon House where Nicki and her family got ready. I almost squealed when I saw the place, heaven for a photographer!
Then I stopped in with the boys who were having a pre-nuptials pint in Slane. I always like this idea if it’s possible as you get some great shots of the boys relaxed and enjoying themselves before the main event.
Then it was back to Collon House for final preparations and the dress reveal! On to Tankardstown House. This was my first time at this venue and I really, really want to go back (so please, any Tankardstown House brides reading this, book me!!). The staff were awesome, the grounds and the house were gorgeous, the light in the orangery made me so happy…it was just perfection.
And the ceremony itself was so sweet. It was truly obvious how much Nicki and Kieran love each other, and how much they are loved by their family and friends.
Now officially Mr and Mrs, we headed to the gardens for some portraits…Can I also shout out the Tankardstown House food…thumbs upSpeeches can be a strange event, I always feel that there can be too much pressure put on them. Kieran decided not to put that pressure on anyone but himself so he gathered the guests into one of the larger rooms and informally gave his speech of thanks and love to everyone. It worked so well. Bridesmaid and one of my fab brides, Kimberley also gave a speech in honour of her bestie. It was simple, from the heart…really just like this whole wedding.
